Dear Children of the Wonderfluit. I am John Flowers. I was one of the animators of the Hippie Movement in the sixties. I was the organiser of all the great musicfestivals such as Woodstock, Island of Wight, etc. In fact, because of my strong engagement in the movement and my hard work everybody called me the King of the Hippies. King John 68. I moved to Belgium because of many troubles in the United States. And i fell in love with a beautiful flemish lady from Kortrijk, named Melanie. This in fact was the main reason of moving to Belgium. I lived there for 40 years with many friends and good musicians in an area called the Warande. We where happy and we lived a simple life. No cars, no luxury ... a simple good and warm life. But there is a great danger hanging above our heads. The plans to remove our homes and to replace them by industrial buildings will now be executed. You can already see the preparing of the works ... We all have to move. We are so sad and my wife cries the whole day. And this night I had a dream. I dreamed that my friends musicians and I could come together once more and have a musical feast in the Warande. But there was something strange... We were surrounded by many children... boys and girls, laughing and singing. That seemed to be children of the Wonderfluit. I searched on google and found your school and your emailadress. Maybe you can ask your headmaster and the teachers to realise this feast? I would gladly come with my wife and friends.
